it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach an amazing group of high school students in a special education classroom, each with their own unique strengths, challenges, and dreams for the future. They work hard every day to build the academic, life, and job skills they need to become independent adults. But right now, I’m starting this classroom from scratch—with no supplies and no funding. I work at a very low income school and any supplies I do have, I have had to purchase with my personal money. That is not easy as a teacher in Oklahoma. To create a space where my students can truly thrive, I’m asking for a color printer so I can make their assignments more visually engaging and accessible, helping them better understand and connect with what they’re learning.
I’m also requesting educational games that make practicing reading, math, and problem-solving fun instead of frustrating.
These tools will bring learning to life, making lessons more interactive and meaningful while building their confidence and independence. With your support, I can turn an empty classroom into a place where my students feel empowered, capable, and excited to learn. Thank you for helping me give them the opportunities they deserve!
