My Project
My students love their STEAM lab experiments, however, we have a very limited budget. We could distill our own water with an electric kettle and make our own agar medium to pout into petri dishes with the right equipment.
Having the ability to make our own agar nutrient petri dishes from scratch, will give my students more ownership of how a real science research lab functions.
An electric kettle, mixing bowls with spatulas and a storage jug for our distilled water will teach my students how to start with the minimum and make the needed supplies of a fully functional science lab.
