Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Do you know what it's like to start school hungry or without pencils, crayons, paper, and other learning materials? The staff at my school is determined to help our students be prepared. My students and our classroom is a learning environment that offers knowledge and support in a safe group setting. It is engaging, fun, and encourages learners to be facilitators in their own learning through hands-on and interactive activities.

My Title I students desperately need diverse learning experiences that can provide STEM/STEAM/STREAM experience and open their eyes to real-world applications of literacy, science, art, history, and math.

They live in an area that often limits their exposure to enrichment opportunities. We work hard to ensure that our school will be recognized as a school that sets their students and teachers up for success, but we still need help.

As we strive for excellence, we will move from good to great! By working together, teachers, students, and parents or guardians will make a strong school family. Our parents are fully aware of the very high expectations of the administration, faculty, and staff has for our students.

My Project

My project will nurture a child’s love and interest in STEM. As we explore the careers of some of the IF/Then women we will do activities that give them beginner hands on experience in the field of STEM. These kits and activities are the perfect introduction to hands-on creativity and innovation for young leaders. Children explore and problem solve using the materials provided and through the use of digital learning tools.

STEM/ STEAM/ STREAM- I'm the head of an elite group of students studying Science, Tech, Reading, Engineering, Art, & Math.

We are the Agents of S.T.R.E.A.M. and we will use the Materials to make take home kits for to have a Online Live STEM activity sessions. To allow students to have more choice, selection, and differentiated learning toward there interest in STEM. With this type of resource students will be more motivated to participate in creating new and exciting things that are 3-dimensional.

I believe in the integration of innovation, science, problem-solving, and creativity, and won't let a pandemic stop my students from having experiences.
