Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students learn best in a calm, creative and warm atmosphere. All of the materials that I have chosen will definitely help them grow academically and personally.
Manipulatives at this stage are essential because they support learners through hands-on and helps them develop many skills: problem-solving, Fine motor skills, supports Math skills and, also, promotes social skills: Puzzles, blocks, counting... help them move from abstract thinking to concrete understanding by allowing them to physically interact with concepts.
Introducing reading books, at this early stage is foundational for a child's overall development and future academic success. It helps building language skills, develops literacy, boost cognitive development and enhances concentration and discipline.
Through stories, children explore emotions, relationships and diverse experiences that helps them develop empathy and social understanding.
Displays around the wall, are a great visual support resource to reinforce learning, promote student engagement, create a positive environment and contribute to an organized and efficient learning space.
It is crucial for this stage of life to have a daily routine and, therefore, have a specific space arranged ( the rug) where they can sit on. Routines provide structure and predictability, support independence (picture -based routines). Routines also build vocabulary and literacy, using routine charts and labels to help students connect language with actions.
Overall, all the materials displayed in this list will play a fundamental role in the learning process of Kindergratners, as young children learn best through hands-on, sensory and exploratory experiences.
The goal of this petition is to help students acquire the Spanish language at ease and to help them see the world with a multiculture perspective
All of these materials will help my students be their authentic self and, therefore, the learning process will be successful.
