My Students

Help reduce the stress of going back to school. Many of my students and their families can not afford the essential starting school supplies. Having a supply of crayons, colored pencils, pencils, and pencil cases will ensure that all students have what they need on the first day of school.

I teach in a high-needs area of a city where many students can not afford the supplies that are generally required to be successful in school.

I teach third grade and my students are excited about school and love to learn new things. However, some students can become stressed if they do not have the supplies on the first day of school. I want to ensure a successful start to the school year with the basic supplies for each student.

My Project

My students will use the crayons, colored pencils, paper and pencils from the first day of school writing about their interests and completing assignments. They will create drawings that will decorate the classroom. The pencils cases will keep all of the supplies organized in their desks.

This project will make a difference to my students because they will not have to worry if they do not have a pencil or crayons of their own.

The will feel a sense of responsibility taking care of their supplies. My students will be able to start learning and expressing themselves from the beginning of school.
