Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items that were chosen will allow my students the opportunity to explore new concepts in a hands-on way especially the Lakeshore STEM kit. All of my students have independent education plans, but this does NOT mean that they should not have the same opportunities as their general education counter parts.

Many students attend afterschool STEM clubs, but my students are unable to attend those types of functions and these items will allow me the opportunity to create that type of environment in my classroom.

I specifically choose these items so I could invite the general education first graders into my room to work on these STEM activities with my primary students who all have special needs. It's important that collaboration takes place not only amongst students but also amongst educators.
