My Project
My students need folders to help them keep their labs organized and colored pencils to borrow when they don't have any to label their graphs and diagrams. I have asked for several key supplies that they will need for the labs in the first semester. They will be able to explore physics topics in several hands-on activities, with the supplies your donations will provide.
My students always love the labs that use balloons, and these balloons will be enough for two separate investigations about force and motion.
They often ask if they can try the investigation again in their free time.
The cups with lids and the aluminum foil will be used for an emphasized state standard that requires students to build a system that either insulates to prevent heat leaving or insulates to prevent heat entering an object. The kids spend a week on this project and always enjoy the process. I can see the learning benefits in the later lessons when they have completed this hands-on activity.
