My Students
I am a 4th-year kindergarten teacher! Teaching is my passion and working with the littlest learners is what I have always felt called to do. My classroom is always full of energy and innovation. I go to work daily with the hope I can give each and every one of my students a loving, safe environment to learn!
I teach kindergarten at a Title I school in Texas.
I currently teach both virtual and face to face students during this unprecedented school year we are having!
Most of the students in my district lived through a rough time in their short lives due to the Hurricane in 2017 and are now faced with the uncertainty of the global pandemic, Covid19. However, these students are resilient and eager to learn. Many of these children are unfortunately lacking basic necessities, but they show up every morning trying their best to smile. My students are survivors and they deserve the best!
My Project
This past year was a huge challenge to try and "get back" some of the time that Covid19 took. We had so many interruptions to our school year & the students are still trying to adjust to the new "normal". I am always planning ahead, so I want to get a head start by refilling some of our classroom supplies! I have a classroom full of different cultures and colors every year so I asked for a class set of the Colors of the World crayons. I love this line made by Crayola to help my classroom be more inclusive!
I believe in teaching though hands-on learning and these materials will help prepare my students for a year of education!
I am excited to begin the new school year and to be able to serve my community with the help of donors like you!
