This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As teachers of students with disabilities in a low-income and high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with meaningful learning experiences.

The students in my school are smart, engaging, funny, eager to learn, and we believe in collaboration and having a positive learning environment.

I am currently teaching second-grade, third grade, fourth-grade and fifth-grade remote special education students who have difficulty with both reading and math.

My Project

These materials are the basic necessities that my students need to be successful in school. These pencil, notebooks, crayons and folders will allow my students to have the tools necessary to start the school year off.

Having their own pencil and notebook can make my student's day!

My students will each have their own color-coded folders for math, writing and reading. This will help them keep their papers organized which is a struggle for my kids. They will each get a set of their own crayons so they can complete their artwork. These materials will be used on a daily basis.
