Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school garden provides opportunities for all learners. The hands-on connections to the Next Generation Science Standards make it possible for students to access and make real life connections in their learning. The materials for starting seeds will make it possible for students to experience concrete learning. The lessons and activities planned will have a focus on the NGSS across K-5 grade levels. These lessons will provide instruction focused on living things and what they need to survive and grow. Students will also learn and have discussions about the environment and how it affects living things as well as how human influence affects their survival and growth. Our students will observe first hand and learn about the plant life cycle and parts of a plant. They will continue to learn science in an engaging and fun environment where they will acquire life-long learning!!
