My Students
I work with ten significant special needs children. They always have something special to share with me and always have smiles on their faces. They get very excited when I introduce new learning materials and love "hands-on" activities.
My students come from an inner-city environment, with little to no support from relatives at home.
My classroom is designed as a place where students can go and know they are safe.
My Project
My students all love to use electronics. In school, we use Chromebooks, but since most of my students are in kindergarten, first, and second grades, the tablet will be more user-friendly.
The tablet is more accessible for younger children to manipulate.
The touch screen on the tablet is much easier for little fingers to manipulate than a mouse on a Chromebook. The screens on the tablets are in color, which helps to hold the student's attention. The use of the tablet will help to enhance both their reading and math skills.
