I have the honor of helping a fabulous bunch of fourth-graders learn! We are a title one school with a lot of varying needs. The children in my classroom are so special! These children are strong and resilient, and they inspire me. I know that making learning exciting, fun and motivating for them can and will help them. I know with your help, we can make a difference and the effects on society will be positively endless!
These wonderful children struggle with reading but love to sing! Using a karaoke system, we could sing the words to fun and popular children's music while it quickly runs across the screen; the students can sing their hearts out, have fun and increase their reading fluency and word awareness!
With your wonderful assistance, we would love to have a karaoke machine in our classroom. The students will have so much fun, they will not even realize they are learning very important reading strategies which are so essential to every other aspect of learning!
Your help will ensure that my students will achieve important reading strategies and it will also enhance their love for learning! Allowing students a variety of fun and exciting ways to learn will help to increase their chances for success!!
