My Students

My students are similar to most 5 and 6-year-old students. They enjoy coming to school! They want to learn so much, and I want to be able to help them. These students have a desire to know about the world and all the opportunities that this world has to offer.

My students are energetic and ready to learn!

I look forward to being their teacher! They have some lofty goals for this year, and I have some high expectations for them to meet!

My Project

Every day our students get an opportunity to work in our dramatic play center. We want to build a new set of supplies that will rotate through all of our classrooms! We have quite a few right now, but want to add something that is relevant and familiar to students nowadays. When students work at the Dramatic Play Center, they are working on social skills, how to share, and engaging in cooperative play. The skills that can be practiced when visiting this center are so important in early childhood development.

We think a coffee/cocoa themed dramatic playset of supplies would be so fun!

Students LOVE to have a drink or sweet treat like their parents do! What a fun way to practice social skills and language skills by allowing students to role-play a cafe. We are asking for coffee machines, aprons, a cash register, and other items needed to make this a successful cafe.

Making our dramatic play area into different environments help our students explore their community but in the safety of our classroom. Students need access to play and converse with other students to gain more effective communication, literacy, and math skills. These new supplies will allow for each student to practice these skills.
