Starbooks Studio: From Pen to Page- Where Every Voice Matters

Help me give my students writing journals, pens, and supplies to create a cozy Starbooks Studio where over 120 middle schoolers can express themselves with confidence and creativity.

My Project

In my classroom, writing is more than just an assignment—it’s a way for students to build confidence, process their experiences, and express who they are. This project will provide over 120 middle school students with journals, pens, materials, and writing tools to support daily writing practice and creative expression. These supplies will make a direct impact by giving each student their own set of materials that are ready to go, helping us maximize learning time and develop stronger writing habits. With the GMAS test on the horizon, these tools will support everything from grammar and sentence structure to narrative writing and constructed responses.

My students are full of ideas—they just need the right tools to bring their voices to life.

Many of them come from under-resourced communities and don’t always have access to quality school supplies. Despite that, they show up every day with energy, resilience, and a desire to be heard. By creating a welcoming Starbooks Studio space with high-interest materials, I hope to empower them to see themselves as real writers. This project isn’t just about supplies—it’s about creating a culture where their words matter.
