Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My resource class is filled with 20 amazing ELs students from different Primary grade levels every day. Every morning, they overcome the obstacles they face and walk into school with smiles on their faces, most greet me with big hugs. We are a Title I school with the best diverse students. They are all eager to learn a new language and be succesful academically.
My Project
My students are English Language Learners. Many of them are still within their first year in the United States.
Providing them a strong foundation of phonics and phonemic awareness prepares them for the lifelong skill of Reading and Writing.
These supplies are great to have when teaching them their phonics lessons. The white boards and markers allow for whole group practice, small group practice, and partner work! The laminator, sheets, and colored paper can help me create some fun and interactive games to help them in all areas of learning the English language!
