Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students I get the pleasure of serving are hard-working, creative and ambitious! My students have embraced the ideology that THEY are the only keys to improvement in their communities, our state and our world!
My students and I have agreed that high expectations are the key to discovery and greatness.
We work together in order to reach new heights, then we just set the bar even higher for our next task. We have built a community, within our community, that thrives on respect, accountability, laughter and celebration of each and every accomplishment!
My Project
These books have been chosen because they are on the Texas Star Reading list. I will have a copy of each book, in my classroom, for students to borrow. The books are varied levels and interests. The students will use the books for an extensive project that lasts the entire year!
The students are scared of this type of heavy project, but their success in number of books read and the awesomeness of their projects, make it all worth it!
This is a huge undertaking. The students that apply themselves will find that they can do more than they ever expected!
