My students need a telescope to view the night sky.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are very motivated to learn and deepen their understanding of their subjects.
My classroom is filled with diversity and curiosity.
We are in an area with great views of the mountains. My students work hard and come from a lower income area. I teach an amazing group of 26 sixth graders. A majority of them receive free lunch. They work hard and enjoy learning.
My class loves science and especially learning about space. They have read a lot of books and seen many pictures to help their understanding of outer space. A telescope would give them that opportunity to see what they are learning about up close. I mentioned doing a star party and they were very excited. A good telescope is key and I think would motivate them to learn even more.
Hands-on activities like using a telescope can help my students visualize what they are learning and have a better understanding.
It would not only help with deepening their understanding but spark curiosity and motivate them to become future science leaders.
