Stands for our Band

My students need music stands. Our band is growing and with that we need more music stands. We don't want to turn anyone away because of lack of supplies.

My Students

Music without stands? NO! Our band has reached 50 players and we are in need of more stands. I would never want to hear someone say "you can't be in the band because we don't have enough stands". Our students are eager to learn and perform at a higher level. They need the tools to do so.

Our students are from all socioeconomic levels.

Our students are from all over the world. Our school has an administration and PTA that believe in the arts. Our school community values all arts education. Our students are enthusiastic about music and joining the band. We would like to accommodate as many students as possible. Lack of equipment should never be a reason to turn away potential musicians.

My Project

Our students start their music education in kindergarten and complete it at the end of fifth grade. These music stands will follow hundreds if not thousands of children throughout their music education at our school. Year after year more students will be able to use the materials. A music stand can change a life by giving a child the opportunity to participate in instrumental music.

Broadening horizons and giving options is all part of education.

Music is another pathway that a child can choose if given that opportunity. Being in an instrumental music setting is an exercise in social skills. Students learn how to listen to each other and play together in an ensemble. Music is another opportunity for a child to excel in something.
