Standing up to Learning

Help me give my students the ability to remain focused in class by using the Sit to Stand up Desk. We are looking to have flexible seating for my students who struggle with trying to remain seated.

My Students

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We are a community in South Louisiana that relies on our natural resources for economic growth. The students that I work with on a daily basis have academic and physical disabilities that hinder them in the regular educational setting.

My students may struggle to learn, but they beam with such pride as they master the skills.

They love to learn!

My Project

Many of my students struggle to sit still during class instruction. The adjustable computer table and adjustable desks allow my students the opportunity to choose to sit or stand up at their desks. I also have a student who uses a wheelchair and has to sit at a table. I want her to have the ability to feel like a part of the classroom with her own desk space.

Give my students the ability to "Stand up" for their Learning.

With the use of flexible seating, students are better able to focus and remain on task throughout the school day. These desks will meet both the intellectual and physical needs of my students.
