This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our school, we believe it’s important for every child to feel seen, heard, and valued. One way we do this is by celebrating Diversity and Inclusion Months throughout the school year, giving us the chance to learn about the people, cultures, and stories that shape our world. As we learn about Diversity and Inclusion Months, my students need a standing desk that provides them the freedom to collaborate, present, and stay fully engaged.
The standing desk will serve as a platform for my students to share perspectives and express themselves.
It’s more than a lesson, it’s about helping kids understand themselves and others, and creating a classroom where everyone belongs. With this space, students won’t just be sitting and learning, they’ll be standing up for diversity and inclusion.
