My Students

My students come from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds and live in a very diverse community. All of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our school is located in a rural area and some students travel long distances to arrive on our campus.

What makes my students special is their desire and willingness to learn and better themselves.

When given opportunities for new learning, they are willing to take on the challenge. Exposing students to new and different content will broaden their college and career options and give them greater choices for their future.

My Project

I just completed my first week as a 100% online math and computer science teacher. I have a lot to learn and a long way to go but one thing I've come to realize this past week... 8 hours a day of staring at a screen takes a toll. In order to be my best for my students, I need to create a functional space for myself to be able to move around and at least try to give students the same animated lessons that make teaching and learning fun and exciting.
