My Project

The introduction of standing desks into my classroom will revolutionize the learning experience for my students, providing them with the freedom to move and learn in a way that suits their individual needs. Research has shown that standing desks can significantly improve student focus, engagement, and overall well-being (Benden et al., 2011). By offering a choice between sitting and standing, we can cater to diverse learning styles and energy levels, creating a more inclusive and dynamic environment. This flexibility will combat restlessness, improve blood circulation, and enhance cognitive function, leading to increased productivity and academic success.

My primary goal for this project is to empower students to take ownership of their learning by providing them with a choice in how they engage with the material.

I want to create a classroom where students feel comfortable and energized, fostering a positive and active learning environment. Ultimately, I hope to see improved academic outcomes, increased motivation, and a greater sense of well-being among my students.

My students are special because they are a vibrant and diverse group of individuals with unique strengths, challenges, and aspirations. They deserve a learning environment that recognizes and celebrates their individuality while providing them with the tools they need to thrive. By offering standing desks, I am demonstrating my commitment to their well-being and my belief in their ability to achieve great things.
