My Students

I have an awesome group of 8th graders this year! They are hardworking and motivated, however, like many 8th graders, they get bored sitting in desks all day long! It's really hard on their growing bodies.

I did some research and standing desks are the solution!

My students are growing and need alternative to standing all day. My students have asked for me to get them some standing desks. They feel that having flexible seating options will benefit the learning environment.

My Project

My 8th grade students are really tired of sitting. Can you imagine sitting still all day long? They have to do it every day and would like some options.

There is a lot of research supporting the benefits of standing desks.

The research says that standing desks increase calorie burn rates 17-35%. They also increase student involvement 12-15%. Research also says that tests scores can increase 3-5%.

My students would like to have these opportunities to improve their educational experience in my math class. Math is a challenging subject and standing desks will help them learn more and learn better.
