Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am moving to 2nd grade! My challenge is to create an inspiring classroom where students feel motivated, valued, and ready to learn.
I want to create a spot where students can stand while working.
I am starting with one standing desk. Many of our students have educational and behavior plans that include flexible seating. I want to see if students will thrive with this option. Sitting for an entire day is hard, so I want to build an environment where all students can move and learn.
I am also requesting new scissors! My 8th grade scissors are no longer functional for little hands. These scissors are definitely more appropriate for primary. Lastly, I am requesting metal racks for the whiteboard. I want to use these metal organizers to hold assignments and daily materials.
