I love standing and working. This stand-up desk would allow my students who need to move a little more, the choice whether to stand or sit.
I have 21 lively and wonderful students!
They are ready to learn. Our school is in a rural area and has a high poverty level. With decreasing funding for education, it is becoming harder and harder to provide students with the supplies they need and deserve, especially furniture items. We currently have stand-up desks in other classrooms and they have definitely enhanced their learning experience. My students deserve to have every opportunity possible.
My Project
This stand-up desks would make a world of difference and give my students the need to wiggle in a great work space. Studies have shown tremendous benefits to standing while working, especially for students who struggle with attention.
Funding on this project would make a huge difference in our classroom on a daily basis.
By allowing my students to stand at different times of the day they will be able to learn to their greatest potential. They would then be the creative hard-working students that I know they are. This stand-up desk would impact their learning in all subject areas including math, science, literacy, and social studies. My students would be so excited to have an additional high quality stand-up workspace!
