My Project

Our school lies in the heart of Rogers Park, the most ethnically diverse neighborhood in the city of Chicago. Our students are kind, considerate, caring, respectful, hard working and determined to be the best they can be. They surprise me every day with their work ethic and their generosity. They motivate me to be the best I can be both inside and outside the classroom.

Our band program is rapidly expanding and we are in need of some additional music stands for performances!

We perform at several school events every year such as Hispanic Heritage Gala, Black History Month Gala, winter and spring concerts. Since our program has expanded, we are now venturing out to public performances. We will be performing at a retirement home for senior citizens this spring. We also have been selected out of dozens of schools in our district, to perform at the Copernicus Center. We are in need of additional equipment for these events!!!

Our students prove that consistent hard work and determination can overcome many obstacles. Our musicians are fearless. They strive for success and accept nothing less. I am honored to be able to work with them and share my love of music with them.
