My Students

My life-long dream has been to teach Kindergarten. My students and I become a family from the first time that they step into the classroom. My past students have known me as "Momma Bear". They know that I won't let anyone mess with my cubs and I will do everything in my power for them. I love introducing them to the magic that happens in school!

As my students will come to me with a widely-varied background of learning and life experiences, I need to be prepared to provide them with a rich educational experience in a safe and loving environment that will allow them to grow and learn, free of worry in the classroom.

We are over 60% free and reduced-price lunch in my district. Often, families struggle to buy school supplies. We, as teachers often supply a great deal of what you see in classrooms. Together we can work to get the things that our students need for success. Your partnership allows us opportunities that would otherwise not be available. Thank you!

My Project

My Kindergarten students are learning how to be successful while learning. Many of them struggle with completing tasks while sitting still at this age. These standing desks feature a swinging foot bar that encourages movement in a safe manner.

Donations to this project will empower students who are learning the art of being respectful, responsible, and safe learners by offering them the flexibility to successfully complete their work while standing instead of being trapped in a chair at a table.

Please help me provide this much-needed resource to my students. While this project will only provide 2 standing desks, all of my students will benefit from their presence, as they will provide an improved learning environment when used by students who may have otherwise been struggling.
