All my students come into the classroom each morning full of energy for all the activities happening in their day.
Each child brings a unique personality and set of interests to our classroom, which makes this group so much fun to teach!
Our school is located in a rural community. Our district is very large which creates a very diverse group of students. As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
Funding for this project would make a huge difference in our classroom on a daily basis.
This stand-up desk would make a world of difference and give my students the desk to wiggle in a great work space.
Studies have shown tremendous benefits to standing while working, especially for students who struggle with attention.
Allowing my students to stand at different times of the day enable them to learn to their greatest potential. They would then be the creative hard-working students that I know they are. This stand-up desk would impact their learning in all subject areas including math, science, literacy, and social studies. My students would be so excited to have an additional high quality stand-up work space!
