My students need flexible seating options. Some of my students are fidgety and prefer to stand during class while some work best stretched out on the floor. I want to provide my students with several options!

My Students

I work with a great group of sixth graders in a rural community located in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. The students come to class eager to learn and with a smile on their faces. I want to provide the best learning environment I can.

I like to challenge all students and engage them in learning.

I would like to incorporate different seating options into the classroom which would allow students to get comfortable and get their learning on! They love the opportunity to get up and move around and it keeps them engaged in learning.

My Project

I have several students who are always trying to get out of their seats so I decided to submit this project in hopes of getting flexible seating options for them. I am asking for a standing desk and stability balls for my busy bodies and bean bag for my students who work best alone.

The flexible seating will offer the movement from the standing desk and balance balls will provide sensory stimulation and aid in attentiveness.

The bean bag can be used as a reward seat for students who have shown improvement in behavior or as a quiet place to read.
