My Students

I teach 23 energetic and caring fourth graders who always make my day a little bit brighter! These students will be going on to middle school next year to start fifth grade, so we are working very hard in the classroom to become more independent and in charge of our learning.

We are over 60% free or reduced-price lunch, but as a community we get everything we need.

Thank you for helping me provide new opportunities for my students!

My Project

My students are very active and move a lot during our day. We have had flexible seating options throughout our year by using our imagination and anything I can find, and it has worked wonderfully to help students increase their focus. Recently, students have requested standing desks because they don't always like sitting for an entire class time and would like a place to stretch their legs while still having a work space.

Many different learners spend time in my classroom throughout the day, and they would love a workspace that accommodates their needs.

This project would not only meet the needs of the 23 students in my homeroom, but also the students who come to me for What I Need groups, and the after school program.
