I am a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with several challenges, both in and out of the classroom.
My students are an amazing group of 3rd graders who are eager to learn and explore.
They are living a growth-mindset philosophy, embracing the new learning experiences and challenges, and are ready to stretch and grow their brain muscle. Children are like sponges, ready to soak up everything. It is my pleasure and duty to help shape their precious minds to love learning and be successful.
My Project
Sitting down all is a drag and not the best learning environment for all students. As we revise the flexible seating options to fit our age-level needs a stand up desk is just what my 3rd graders need. Often times students want to stand to work alone or with a partner. This often times obstructs the view of others and even myself. With this sturdy student standing desk, they will be allow the choice of standing for the amount of time that makes them feel comfortable.
Keeps young students engaged, focused and healthy in the classroom.
