My Students
At the front of my classroom is the quote, "Exceed Expectations!" I always encourage my students to go beyond what is expected of them and strive to always work harder, practice more, be better, and to go beyond what teachers, parents, coaches, and friends expect out of them. My class is a diverse group of curious, active, and determined students.
I strive to create a happy and comfortable classroom where children can enjoy learning and each other.
My students aspire to do their best in school and they are very interested in technology. I enjoy placing technology in their hands so they can use it in many ways on a daily basis. Our school qualifies as a moderate poverty school.
My Project
I am requesting two FluidStance balancing decks for my students who need to stand up and move to facilitate learning and to ease tension that they may be feeling as they work hard in school. Students should not be sitting in chairs all day. They need movement throughout the day. Most students find that they can concentrate more when they are allowed to naturally move and get up out of the sitting position. The FluidStance balancing decks will allow my students to expend some extra energy as they calm their bodies down from any anxiety and tension they might be feeling. These two decks will allow my students the opportunity to learn how to self-regulate through movement, to remain calm so that they can concentrate and perform to their abilities, and to move in place rather than to be stuck in a place.
