Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach an energetic group of diverse 1st graders! My students are very eager to participate in learning and apply new skills. My goal is for all of my students to be ready for the next grade level by May. Whenever needed, I purchase materials out of my pocket to ensure that my students receive the high-quality education that they deserve. I also try to create activities that will sustain their attention and assist them with mastering skills.

My students are all curious little learners ready to explore and expand their knowledge on every topic that they are learning!

My Project

Virtual teaching has been a challenge for teachers and students all over the world. Teachers are doing the best that they can to educate and provide the materials needed during these times. I am requesting an adjustable stand for my laptop and chair for virtual learning and for when we return in the classroom. The adjustable stand will make a difference during virtual learning and in my classroom. I will be able to move the stand around and adjust it to the height that I need if I am sitting or standing. I will also be able to use the stand when students return to school to store my laptop while teaching. The chair is also needed to give me support with teaching my students virtually and in person. My district is currently 100 percent remote. Therefore, I am sitting for a long period of time. Thank you in advance for supporting my project and supporting me and my students during this time.
