it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Kindergartens love working with numbers and number operations in hands-on and multi-sensory ways. When students are working in centers we provide 8 centers every two days that are constantly changed out to offer many options aside from worksheets. When not using manipulatives like pattern blocks or puzzles, number stamps can give students practice especially recognizing numerals.
Kindergarteners need lots of consistent, mutli-modal practice with numbers to develop a strong foundational concrete understanding of number sense before moving into more complex operations.
We work consistently to build fluency with number recognition and building number sense in a huge variety of activities so that students are confident in their understanding before moving to larger numbers.
