My students need ink pads and paper and learning journals to help with their spelling, math, and find motor skills. These items will be used to help with spelling conventions and math problem solving skills daily.
First grade students are the most amazing age group to spend a day with. They are so aware of the world around them and are eager to know more and more and more.
It is amazing to watch as pieces of information come together in their knowledge hungry little brains and a big idea comes into focus.
The looks on their faces when they "get it" is something that cannot be described, it must be experienced. I am fortunate to experience this everyday!
My Project
Learning styles vary greatly among the student populations in classrooms as do the items students like to use to create their projects. Providing different media for students to complete a writing project will help to accommodate these learning styles.
Students love to use different media to problem solve and create their work.
These items will help to accommodate different likes within each student. These ink pads will enhance learning centers by allowing students to use our classroom sets of alphabet stamps to create their vocabulary and spelling words. These math learning journals will be used to help with daily math and strengthening math problem solving skills on different levels for individual learners and their abilities. The paper will be used in canters for stamping, writing, problem solving, illustrating and much more.
