Stamped (For Kids): Racism, Antiracism, and You - History Texts

Help me give my students access to antiracist educational texts to learn how to talk about race in productive ways.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students know about racial inequities from a very early age.

Our fifth grade teaching team, Ms. Portia Gulasch and Ms. Monica Duran, will use Stamped (For Kids): Racism, Antiracism, and You to teach and learn how to talk about race and the history of racism in the United States through a book study and whole class read aloud.

By starting off the year with this history text and reading it as a whole class, our fifth grade teachers will establish classroom cultures of antiracist language, cultural identity, representation and inclusion.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
