My Project

Students in my classroom love open ended play! They are engaged and excited when they have new materials to build and be creative with. In Kindergarten we balance academics with early childhood principals to practice skills such as corporation, imagination, and sharing with classmates.

When students are exposed to hands-on, high-quality activities they find so much joy in learning.

We would use these materials in the classroom on a daily basis. We have small group time where these toys can be used to help with counting, adding and creative writing. They also have unstructured time where they can choose what to build or create with friends.

My students are special because they come from diverse backgrounds and they love coming to school! They are eager to learn! When the learning is hands on and creative, they remember those lessons, which leads to success in the classroom.
