My students need sport stacking cup sets and extra cups to improve their skills and speed for a school activity.

My Students

Do you remember classrooms that used just books to learn facts? My students learn best by doing hands-on projects. Sometimes they get inspired by doing hands-on activities that truly engages them. They can't wait to come to class and explore. But sports matter too! My students can learn a lot stacking cups competively. Cup stacking opens many new opportunities for them.

My students can make gains in fitness, agility, and concentration as they learn to stack these colorful cups.

They will learn teamwork and improve fine motor skills. My 6th-grade science classes are part of a public school in a growing suburban town in NH.Middle school students learn more by doing than reading. Science class is the perfect place to make discoveries.

Not only will they learn that practice makes perfect, they will influence physical attributes which will tie in with physical education standards.

My Project

My class will love to engage in the sport of cup stacking. Middle schoolers do not get recess, but they still have plenty of energy. We start our day with an enrichment class and cup stacking would be a perfect place to use up this energy. This activity increases hand-eye coordination, decision making, team work, improve dexterity, and reaction time. These are all important skills that will help students learn better in the classroom.

Studies have shown cup stacking increases academic scores too because both sides of the brain are being used.

Students will improve cooperation, patience, and learn the value of practicing. Hopefully these skill will carry over into the academic classrooms. My students love to compete and I envision teams forming with daily "skirmishes" . Once their brains are activated into high gear, they will be able to focus on our lessons about the environment and how humans impact it.
