This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students in my class come from various backgrounds with over 80% of students at our school receiving free and reduced lunch. Many students in my class want to learn all that there is, but have the weight of the world on their shoulders.
These students are so eager to learn, they never want to stop an activity to move on to the next.
Please help these wonderful students have a more comfortable learning environment, we are working on becoming successful members our of community!
My Project
My students spend most of their day in the classroom eager to learn, yet they are distracted by the hard, uncomfortable chairs that we have in our class. Many students are always asking to sit on the floor, stand, kneel or to just about be in any other place than sitting in their chair. Allowing them to get out of the chair has shown much improvement in their focus as well as their understanding of contents being taught in class. If I could provide each student which a stability ball to sit on, they would not spend their time worried about being uncomfortable.
My project will allow students to have flexible seating in the classroom to better their focus and ability to be successful.
If these students just had one thing less to worry about, we could increase the achievement levels and make out educational classroom a more inviting learning space. Without the help of generous people out in the world, our students would not be able to have the opportunity to participate in flexible seating. Please help me give students a more comfortable learning environment to become the future leaders of our communities.
