My Students
The students in my building have so much potential and are such resilient children. I love my job and I love working with these students in every capacity. Our students can be so successful and have what it takes to succeed. Sometimes the students in our district face barriers you wouldn't believe. Parents in jail, family addictions and trauma are a few issues that students bring to me to assist them with. Technology items such as the speakers and echo dot will help prepare students for this new world of technology while motivating them to work hard in the classroom. Art items are also always such a motivator and we love to encourage students creativity and imagination.
We are a very high poverty level, Appalachian area school whose students deserve the best and our students will engage when we find fun ways to motivate them to be successful in our building!
My Project
By obtaining the crayon meltdowns, squishies, and echo dot we will be able to our motivate our students. The squishies are an item that can also be used within the classroom to help students who struggle with focus issues or hyperactivity. Currently these items are some of the most popular and well liked items at our students ages. Having these items as rewards for attitude, academics, and attendance in our building will keep our students working and pushing themselves to achieve set goals in each area in hopes of winning one of these incentives through our PBIS program. We believe in creating a positive atmosphere where students are rewarded for doing what is right and meeting expectations in our building and these items could not be more desired!
