My Students

Learning in our own way is one of the strategies we use to provide flexibility in our classroom. My co-teacher and I would like to provide the tools needed for students to succeed by providing an environment for students to learn to the best of their ability. My Co-Teacher and I would like to provide a safe, comfortable and homey environment that makes learning welcoming each and every day.

My fifth graders come from a diverse school community of about 600 students.

Together we are all part of the largest elementary school in our district. These amazing fifth graders continue to inspire me with their desire to learn, and it is my job to find a way to make it.

My Project

In this activity, students will pretend that they are spies looking to complete clues to find their final budget!

As part of our curriculum, we would like to make our financial literacy more engaging and more fun!

We have learned that the more students are having fun, the more information they pick up and understand the main topics! I am envisioning that students will get on their spy gear and walk into a room full of laser and will need to complete budget question to receive the next clue all the way to the end where students will need to make sure their budgets are balanced and they are not over drafting their "spy" accounts.
