Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
During the 2021-2022 school year, I made the exciting leap from being a fifth grade teacher to being a kindergarten teacher! This year will be the first time any of my brand new kindergarten students have ever stepped foot inside of a classroom, as all area preschool classrooms were closed during the pandemic.
One of my favorite quotes comes from Nelson Mandela, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." I firmly believe that supplying children with the highest quality education possible is one of the most meaningful ways of changing lives.
We are designated as a Title I school which means that the majority of our students hail from a low socioeconomic background. It is my intent and my goal as an educator to ensure that my students receive the same access to opportunities, materials, and education as their peers who attend more affluent schools.
My Project
Kindergarten students absolutely love centers! They allow for collaboration between students, and are where most of our learning takes place!
Every month I print, laminate, and cut out new centers for my students!
I love having centers that meet my children's unique needs, and my students love all the different seasonal themes they get to see throughout the year.
Unfortunately, I have run out of the laminating sheets we use for all of our centers pieces. That's why this project is asking for 500 sheets of laminating pouches, which will be the perfect amount to make the remaining centers for the last 3 months of school!
