Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This school year, I have watched my class grow from reluctant readers to enthusiastic readers who can't get enough books! At the beginning of the year, I used to set a timer to build up the students' reading stamina, and it was always met with groans because they considered reading a chore. Now, they beg for more time to read!

My students have gone from constantly talking about Fortnite and Roblox to eagerly discussing the latest book they're reading!

Their parents and guardians have shared that many of them bring a book now everywhere they go, just in case they have a free moment to read. I want to continue to foster this love of reading in my students by giving them one last boost before summer starts with an influx of new books!
