My students are amazing! They surprise me each and every day and keep me learning more for them. We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town elementary school. My students are always ready to try something new, because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day. I want to grow with them!
Our school is over sixty percent free or reduced price lunch recipients, but together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need.
I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
My Project
Recess is an essential part of every school day. We are thankful to get two recess times in our day and our students absolutely love this time.
During recess our students learn teamwork, and how to problem solve.
They also learn how to play baseball, basketball, volleyball, football, soccer, and more. It is so neat to watch students teach each other about the different sports. They also bounce a lot of questions off us too. It is fun to get involved in the activities that they are playing.
These balls and equipment are essential to our students starting their athletic journey off right. Recess is free play time, but during these times they learn so much. Help us continue this love for sports and love of play! Every moment outside keeps our students healthy, focused, and even more engaged in learning too!
Beyond daily use students in our after school program and summer school program will be able to utilize these materials and learn more about each sport. During after school, our students spend 30 minutes outside, and additional time inside. Summer school has focused team sport classes that students can choose to join. These materials would be wonderful to have for these classes.
The baseball gloves and tennis balls would be used by our students who are interested in baseball and softball. The jump ropes are a favorite that we are almost out of. The hooks would help keep them organized. The balls, cornhole, cups and tower blocks would be used for lots of outside fun!
