My Students

I teach 3rd grade. I love the transition my students make from primary to intermediate grades. They are figuring out how important school is and learning to be more independent! They also are perfectionists and go through tons of materials at this age.

My third graders come from diverse backgrounds and bring so much personality into the classroom.

Unfortunately, as most teachers know these days, the money for extras, let alone basics are just not there. My 3rd graders are grateful as am I for any outside support we receive through DonorsChoose.org projects.

My Project

We are heading into a difficult stretch of the school year. There is a lot of groaning and moaning as we push forward and get ready for our spring testing. I want to have some fun projects lined up to help kids relieve some stress and get their creative energy going. We will use these art supplies, such as yarn, glue sticks, and markers to create some fun art projects to brighten our entryway. We end up inside a lot for recess in spring because our playground is slippery and often too wet to play on. I have some fun indoor fun projects planned that these materials will help us accomplish. School is hard work but also needs to be fun and creative.
