My Project

Each year, my choir and musical theater students have many opportunities to compete and perform in a variety of events. They also have opportunities in the classroom to choose their own music. At the end of each school year, students have the opportunity to attend NYSSMA, a state-wide music festival and competition where they are evaluated and qualify for additional performance opportunities.

I am looking to build a working library where students can explore and find music that suits their specific needs, with the piano accompaniment ready to help them find success.

All of the music I have selected is ideal for not only NYSSMA, but also a variety of school based opportunities, and is all performance-ready with accompaniment. By creating this library, student choice will be even easier to accomplish in my classroom as it will be easy to grab right off the bookshelf! (And come colored pencils to mark it up!)
