My Project
Creating a Thriving and Organized Classroom for Student Success!
As a dedicated eighth-grade math and science teacher at I strive to create a classroom environment that is not only engaging but also organized, welcoming, and fully equipped to support my students' learning.
The materials in this project will help build a structured and clean learning environment:
Basic Supplies (pencils, pens, erasers, paper, dry-erase markers, and erasers) – These are daily essentials that help students complete their work effectively. Many students come to class without supplies, and having these readily available ensures that learning is never interrupted.
Tickets & Incentives – I use a ticket-based reward system to encourage positive behavior, effort, and participation. This system helps build motivation and a sense of accomplishment in my students.
Lamps & Soft Lighting – Overhead fluorescent lights can be harsh and overstimulating. Adding lamps provides a more comfortable and calming learning environment, helping students focus better.
Vacuum & Cleaning Supplies – A clean classroom is a productive classroom! With daily activities, small group work, and hands-on science lessons, the classroom can get messy. Keeping it clean ensures students have a safe and organized space to learn.
Snacks – Some students come to school hungry, and hunger is a major distraction from learning. Having snacks available ensures that no student has to struggle to focus because they didn’t have breakfast or lunch.
Magnets – These will help with interactive learning on the whiteboard, allowing students to engage more with math and science concepts visually and hands-on.
