My students need books to take home and read over Spring Break.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Moore's classroom raised $550

My Students
I am honored to spend my 20th year in education at this beautiful community school in the spectacular mountains of Western North Carolina. My drive to work is full of beautiful landscapes. My school is a small, kindergarten through fifth grade, with fewer than 150 students.
We may be small, but our dreams are big.
The community is deeply invested in the education and nurturing of each student. Economic status does not provide a barrier to learning; instead, it provides a challenge this school accepts on a daily basis. With your help, we can give these deserving students everything they need!

I am requesting a $400 credit to order books through Scholastic.
I have completed a few projects like this before and it is always the best day of my career! I plan to purchase books for all students in our small, community school. Our school has fewer than 150 students and I would like to send my students home over Spring Break with a variety of books on their individual reading levels. I know the importance of literacy and quality reading materials in the home. Many of my students do not have access to books so sending home books will improve their reading skills. Since we are a school of Science and Technology, I will focus on these themes. The books will be on various reading levels so each student will get a book suited for him/her. As students read these books, they will continue to grow as readers which will help them throughout the school year. Ideally, they will maintain or even increase their reading ability by having these high-interest books readily available.
