Imaginative, creative, curious and special are only a few words that clearly describe my students. They come to school each day with the hope of becoming more than they were yesterday.
They help to establish the safe, comfortable, yet challenging environment we call a classroom, but really feels like a home.
Students show respect, work hard and explore new ideas every day. We use our reading time to explore places and situations we only wish we could experience.
We grow as readers and writers every day and together we celebrate our progress. My students aren't just students...we are a family.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in student learning because all students will be able to borrow a book at anytime. Throughout our building many teachers are using the balanced literacy structure, students want to read, they are given the time to read, but we need to provide more access to books.
As more and more students throughout the school begin to borrow books and carry them around the building, other students will gain interest and the love of reading will quickly spread.
Students throughout the school will be able to borrow a book to use in all their classes.
