This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m asking for double sided whiteboards for my students to use during their phonics time (to work on sounds but also penmanship at the same time). I also need as many books in their hands on a daily basis so I’m requesting more books to read at school as well as to continue my home reading program. I also would love some new materials/ building toys for them to work on their fine motor skills as they build and construct.

My students come from many different backgrounds; I have a student from Ukraine, several students from Guatemala and Mexico and most of my students struggle with literacy.

I use as much of my school day to read with my students as well as have them read to me. Any new reading materials would be greatly appreciated but also so needed.
